It strikes me that no one, and I mean NO ONE, involved in this case won.

If you're asking for an impression of actor Kenneth Choi, I think he did a very good job. He depicts Ito not as bumbling, but human and swept up in the enormity of this case.
Two things I think the reviewer may have missed out on:
"Who are the real monsters?" is a central question of the show. Heck, it's tied up in the subtle ambiguity of this series' title. It's a great conundrum of conscience, but I'm still struggling to see how our favorite zombie-surviving heroes are slowly becoming similar to The Saviors.
I rewound just to check and it looks like the Walker only creeped up behind her/ grabbed at her arm before Maggie took care of business.
What about character development and establishing who the members of "The Saviors" are?
In their defense, the alarm from the bunker was blaring pretty loudly.
Oh what an absolute joy it was to have Edith FINALLY tell Mary off! And yet when I stop to think about it, thanks to this author's keen observations, how sad it all is.
"Another new credits joke. Funny enough, but maybe that bit should be retired for a while." What's he talking about? I'm sure I should be getting this, but it's gone over my head.
Was that in reference to the Super Friends parody?
This review is a bit of a mixed bag. While I think a B- is unduly harsh (almost as bad as a C+ for the last critique), I will concede that the author made some fair points. Still, I'd like to respond:
When I saw a different reviewer was going to critique this episode and hadn't given an "A" rating, I was ready to rage. However, the points you brought up were pretty great and this was a solid review.
Even if it is over, it lasted 6 solid episodes. Both WWI and the plot about losing Cora's fortune and deciding the estate's financial future 'felt' like they lasted for shorter periods and in both cases the ramifications were far more important to the family and staff. The hospital merger plot though…
THANK YOU! I knew there was a reference I was missing, but I couldn't place it. That was driving me nuts.
Hard to say, but him and Dean 'did' successfully help Sgt. Hatred deal with his addictions (his alcoholism and his pedophilia) whenever he'd slip, so they must be doing SOMETHING right.
Another solid episode and another solid review, but I'm feeling a lack of completeness as we're heading into episode 6 of this season.
Oh my god, lol. Too funny.
No problem, and you're certainly not the first to make a mistake with these VERY British sounding names.
In her defense, I think that's all she's capable of with her oh-so-proper Edwardian upbringing:
This was a great review (although this is the 2nd time if memory serves that an AV Club reviewer has incorrectly remembered Dr. "Clarkson's" name), I just have some Stray Observations of my own:
His scenes with Michael Chiklis were great (Hell, his ones with Kathy Bates were mighty good too), but in all the rest, he just seemed to whine and moan about how unfair life was. Admittedly, life was unfair to him, but I'd rather see him DO something about it than just complain or get drunk and screw the fat chick.
