And hard as it is to believe now, back in the day TV Guide was a *real magazine* that did actual reporting on the industry. The idea that you eagerly awaited its arrival every week to read it wasn't as crazy as it sounds today.

The best of Kelley is probably the first two seasons of Picket Fences, on which many of the episodes were examinations of ethics that were unusual to find on prime time TV.
Is Sorkin really so far up, at least as far as TV is concerned? He's had exactly one hit series which he didn't see through to the end. His follow-up to that, Studio 60, was a dud and The Newsroom has fallen well short of the Emmy-bait "prestige drama" goals that likely motivated HBO to give it a shot.
Yeah, I found that quote to be really odd…reverence for the episode since reading about it in TV Guide?

I swear I don't know how some of these players arrive at their wager amounts. Was there even a thought process, or was he just picking a number out of the air? Why would he bet an amount that would keep him in third place with one clue to go when he had a chance to take the lead?
I don't watch the Olympics and have never read or seen The Hunger Games, so if even I knew it then it must have been pretty obvious.
