Everyone is always welcome to their own interpretation but to me that felt like we were also maybe supposed to laugh off the (hardware store) clerk’s points about how serious and dangerous the situation was, only for Al/the audience to find out that, no, actually the easily dismissed clerk was displaying the

Maitland Ward should have gone with that.

Hail Caesar! deserves mention even if it's not exactly a great one.

No, I think he’s just so good at sarcasm that it just reads that way. If Letterman wanted to belittle a celebrity, and he did a lot of that and I think there are fair criticisms to be levied that he as with many of his era was at the very least occasionally misogynistic including to guests, in this case it feels like

Personally if I were a working director in Hollywood I'd simply publicly back out of a possible three film deal with Disney.

Idk, that felt more like cutting the legs off any pushback, knowing once the story was out there it didn't matter what they said. I can't imagine anyone who works there feeling unsupported given how this has played out, but hey, I only work in customer service and have for more than a decade now.

So you just negated a LOT of Shakespeare

Shit, I first watched this show when it was on for 2-3 hours every weekday on FX in like 2002.

There are some lovely Potter episodes, but I'd go with The Price. Saying goodbye to Sophie is just such a lovely, quiet scene.

Just here to note Ed still isn't available due to music licensing and that's a bummer to me.

I agree with the broader premise here, obviously. He shouldn’t be publicly trying to rehab his image.

He piloted his own helicopter while operating a camera, too. One of my longstanding takes is that all that shit he does deserves at least as much credit as, like, what Leo was praised for doing in The Revenant in terms of acting craft.

The irony of this is having seen it, Hangman (either the actor or how he plays the character or maybe both) is an absolute dead ringer for Archer’s Barry. The voice is almost identical, and there’s even a physical resemblance (and plenty of overlapping character traits.) It’s honestly all I could think about whenever
