*New* cars are expensive there, used cars are shockingly cheap. I've imported several older classics from the UK that were never sold here in the US.

Having a welder in the garage, and knowing that rust-free body panels are readily available from the West Coast, I'm going NP. The Amazon engine definitely seals the deal. Rust can be repaired, and this one needs paint anyways.

Looks like you have issues more pressing than deciding which cars are important to you.

Regulations stated that only 4 crew members, that includes the driver, were allowed to work on the car at one time. It even says that in the video. You can see the race warden watching to make sure that they were complying with the rule.
