That's ludicrous. They still have to pay teams of individuals to create versions specifically for different hardware and to carry on support after release. Why should they even make a PC version if people will just steal it? It doesn't just magically start working on Windows after they programmed a game for the PS3.

I wonder if this might mean that Bethesda has a board/card game coming out based on the Elder Scrolls world? Looks cool. Won't buy it, though. There are a ton of games coming out - too many for me to buy them all. So, if I have to pick between a new IP, a sequel to a game I like, or the bastardization of one of my favorite games, I'll pick the first two options. Same thing with XCom.

This is a stopgap move for Amazon to enter the market. It's a great price point for Christmas. Next year, they will reveal the tablet they've REALLY been working on.

A new story is fine ... As long as it exists in the same continuum. New viewers shouldn't have to come into the movie with prior knowledge, but the universe it occurs in should be the same as the game.
