Actually, yes they did — on my 3DS, I got a notice entitled Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program in my SpotPass notifications with all the info, including some of the games being released. It directed me as to when I needed to log on by and what I would get for doing so.

They did ... but, in kind of a murky way. P4 was the definitive PS2 version ... but, yeah, I know what you mean.
