why Bangkok? One town’s very like another when your head’s down over your pieces, brother

What is it with you people. You just think games media should pretend that emulation doesn’t exist?

Not everyone was benefitting equally, so... get rid of it for everyone? What about do more to make sure those that still weren’t able to benefit got a chance to do so?

Not enough from the one customer to offset the $10k in profits from the one car.

100% this. How much future business did they flush down the toilet in order to get +/-$10k upfront? It’s insane, yet it happens all the time.

At the same time, why does everything have to come down to legality and signed agreements for things like this. Shouldn’t a well functioning system be easy to navigate, transparent, and not rely on having to protect yourself all the time?  An ideal system here should be relatively “frictionless” so to speak.

This isn’t Bungie having an existential crisis. This is Destiny 101 - FOMO.

Those things you list just make it sound like the devs made it unreasonably hard, as if they dont know how to balance the difficulty so they just go too far in either direction instead.

What exactly is the appeal of this privileged kid who grew up on mommy and daddy’s slave gem mines, who spends his adult life inventing shittier versions of things that already exist, union busting his employees, and tweeting out “orcs!” so his creepy fans cry to add him into Warcraft. Do they think they’re going to

first party shooter games”

I need to finish up the Chapter 2 Act III story. And then do a buttload of character stories.

Because this is what CB Cebulski looks like:

She should try being a Nazi sympathizer or an anti-vaxxer. Those people never seem to get deplatformed. Probably because they’re not doing anything TRULY evil, like being a woman in a hot tub.

And it will render the game 99% unplayable when those servers inevitable are eventually done away with

I’m pretty sure Hitman doesn’t actually need an online connection to unlock weapons, outfits, starting locations, etc. There’s no reason it couldn’t do those things offline. The only features that actually require an online connection are the leaderboards and Elusive Targets. IO could absolutely create an offline mode

I was really excited for this game originally, but the more I hear about it the more my enthusiasm is blunted

“Are we still doing the social distancing thing?”

If action movies have taught me anything about car thieves, they can drive it better than you and also jump it over buildings and into military aircraft.

I drive an old boxster. Since nobody can drive a stick anymore, I just leave it unlocked all the time.

And Hollywood can tell him to go f**k himself.
