You’re obviously not the target market for a plug-in hybrid. This doesn’t defend your failure to understand the benefit of the plug-in hybrid. ZING!!

I see where you’re coming from; I’ve fallen victim to missed online sarcasm myself. But in the subtleties of the Interwebs, there is a significant difference between “thanks Obama!” and “THANKS OBAMA! /s.”
Yes, but it’s Shrimp flavor :-/
It’s funny how libertarians make any regulation sound like “controlling everything.” I am all for capitalism. Regulating industries is not anti-capitalism; they are not mutually exclusive. If you like having your home built to code, your food free of poisonous chemicals, and your 25 mph speed limit in your…
To play Devil’s Advocate: in his video, he did specifically say “...and you hurt someone...” Since he was stopped/arrested before he was able to hurt someone, he may still be eligible to call himself for representation.
I’m sure that is true for many parts of the world. But when I was in Germany on a work trip, I was the lowly guy in a Q3 TDI, getting passed by AMGs and M models like I was parked on the autobahn.
That’s a good option. I don’t need any utility aside from getting a surf board to the beach (it’s just me and my wife), and we don’t drive much these days, so practicality is low on my priorities.
I wasn’t making a dieselgate joke about smoke, if that’s what’cha mean. I was making a joke about how McLaren set the lowest possible bar for comparison, wherein even my lowly A3 TDI is fast by comparison.
Meh. It’ll hopefully be going back to Audi in 3 months, when the whole dieselgate thing wraps up. I don’t know what will replace it- expensive option is Z4 sdrive35i, reasonable option in Mk6 Golf R, cheap option is Fiesta ST.
Dude, did you SEE that comparison chart? I mean, I’ve always considered my car pretty average when it comes to performance. But when you compare it to an “average hatchback” as McLaren have done, it really puts things in perspective.
Dang... I just realized my A3 desiel SMOKES the average hatchback!
Yeah, that’s not a bad idea. It kinda already exists with urea injection TDIs. You get a low fluid warning very early (several hundred miles), then a more in your face warning as you run lower. Then a final warning that your car will not restart after you shut it off, until you add urea.
You call his fleeing a pathetic attempt. I call it a success. He did get away.
We’ll still need insurance. Off the top of my head:
Firstly, I never said we should ban anything. I was only commenting on the ongoing debate around holding Uber/Lyft to the same regulatory standards we hold Yellow cab to.
ineffective, cumbersome, not insignificant cost on everyone.
Yeah. For current “ride share” drivers not able to secure a hybrid policy where available, they may find they are not covered should something happen to them or their car. But the passenger is supposedly covered by the app provider’s insurance (which begs the question- why do they pretend they are only providing…
their lawyers could claim “We aren’t running a cab service...”
Ok, Rand Paul.
