The conversation centered around how much power is too much for public roads/daily use; not about what is too much for a FWD car. A GTI weighs, what, 3400 lbs? 300 HP isn’t too much for a RDW or AWD car of similar weight.

GS300? Similar driving manners? wut?

Unfortunately, no. We live in a condo complex with community garage completely devoid of power outlets. A cheap lease in a practical hatch like that would be a smart way to justify a roadster as a second car (even though we don’t need two cars, and I have a motorcycle).

Hmm. Maybe I *would* be an amazing SWAT officer in hostage, bomb defusing, and/or securing area situations. Thanks Tom Clancy!

A better question for me is: What car could I drive wherein I WOULDN’T look like such an asshole?

Starred for the cute dog, good point, and the dog’s name. I named my last car (S5) Elise, because, well, she was a lease.

I had the opposite experience with my stock NB Miata. I thought the power was tolerable for daily use, and miserably slow in any twisties with a slight hill. Roads I’ve torn up on my sport bikes for years seemed so different in the Miata (in a bad way), because I never noticed the slight elevation changes until I was

You’re contradicting yourself. Is a tuned Golf R/GTI (hint: 300-400 HP) too much, or is it the sweet spot?

Wow! $139/mo is insanely cheap. If only I had a place to plug it in :-(

I’ve already spoken with several stupid and/or arrogant people who think that their driving ability is safer than a computer driving. Of course removing human error will improve safety. But to these people, the convenience of not having to drive in traffic, late at night, when tired/on meds/drinking/injured, etc

You just described the whole point of moving to autonomous cars; eventually, no one will be operating a vehicle in public.

Also: grille, not grill, apparently. The former is on the front of your not-a-Tesla car and the latter is made by brands like Weber.

Grille-ception!

At least we can all agree that *adding* badges is the worst.

“That’s a common misconception” would have been less anti-social while still bluntly communicating your point. [thumbs up]

This clip just triggered my PTSD.

I think there’s a difference in someone debadging the lower trim emblems to “hide their shame”, so to speak, and debadging a cluttered fender/trunk lid.

I’ve read elsewhere that we only absorb about 20-25g (ish) of protein at a time. Is this accuate?

I’ve read that, on average, we can only absorb about 20-25g of protein per meal. Anything beyond that is being wasted.
