I’m proud of you. It must be hard admitting you owned a Lebaron.

Didn’t the article say it could theoretically cut the time to Mars down from 260 days to ten weeks? I got the impression that the initial acceleration would be slow, but it would build and continue to build fairly quickly.
What does this mean, exactly? Unwind the deal or simply offer an early termination?
No pointers for the A3 TDI owners, Tom?
“We’ll show VW we mean business by removing an incredible amount of revenue from our GDP while simultaneously forcing the layoff of thousands upon thousands of their employees across 20 North American facilities.”
Does this mean they simply let lessees return the car earlier than the original contract, or do they unwind the deal, refunding the money spent on the lease?
You and I should collaborate on our post-TDI purchase options!
I believe you meant “pickuck trup.”
First time seeing this. My initial thought: Why would he grab her helmet like that?!... immediately after the crash?! What if she had sustained a neck injury?
I don’t know where you live where it’s legal to issue moving violation tickets (red light) without physical evidence. But I can tell you where I live, they need to have you on camera driving the car. There was even a story a couple years ago (probably on here) about some young dude in a Subaru who kept gettign away…
Anyone have any idea how long the payout process will take and what it will entail? It’ll be nice to get some cash out of this, but being Mr. Glasshalfempty I’m assuming it’ll require jumping through hoops for the next 18 months.
I believe you meant to say “your a idiot.”
Alternate Jalop universe headline a year from now:
I’m not sure about that. I’m not a CPA by any means, but when I was reading about this yesterday, there was mention of a minimum AGI one must have to realize the full potential of the $7500 vehicle tax credit. If you only earned enough income to owe $500 in federal taxes, then you wouldn’t get all $7500 of the tax…
Worthy? Yes. Probable in any significant quantity? Nah.
Ah, you’re right. It would only required a $50k income to rack up $7500 in federal tax debt.
My early car experience seems a lot less sexy than many of the stories here. The vehicle that really solidified cars as a keystone to my life was a very dented ‘high-fiber diet’ brown Datsun pick-up complete with power brakes (and nothing else).
Well BMW made a car “appropriate for the market” and this MSU car lost nothing in comfort or practicality (other than range before fill-up) to the factory version. I just don’t know why you’re comparing it to a Volt when the i3 is the more obvious comparison in size/utility, and drive train. If you’re commuting more…
See: BMW i3.
