Are you sure it was animated by Trigger? The Japan Animator Expo was conceived by Hideaki Anno and his studio Khara.

Um... no. The Evangelion remakes are being done by Hideaki Anno’s own studio Khara. Heck, the studio was founded initially for that very purpose, because Gainax wasn’t a desirable place for any of its best staff to be, apparently.
Classic Kotaku comment. Unlimited snark, very little sense. You’re referring to like one show there and if people can glean meaning from a work of art then who are you to dismiss that as not genuine? Clearly it’s not pointless to the countless amounts of people who have impassioned discussions over it over twenty…
Not in the slightest. I loved Kill la Kill, even moreso than Gurren Lagann. Both have similar issues but a lot of people put GL on some untouchable godly pedestal due to nostalgia whenever they compare the two.
She’s just really tan. :^)
I dare anybody who considers themselves to have a heart to NOT completely melt over the wholesomeness that is episode 9 (as well as the school episode, or any one focusing on Kanna, really). If you don’t at least slightly tear up from that shit, you have no soul.
You’ll be severely missing out on a great show.
Just keep in mind that this is the same site that called Sword Art Online the smartest anime in years. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a review miss the entire point of a show this blatantly.
Kotaku doesn’t like it. Guess that means I should start watching it.
Oh god, that comment is massively cringe-inducing. Hey, maybe people just have lives outside of the internet? No?
Of course One Punch Man isn’t on the list. It’s directed by Shingo Natsume, the director of Space Dandy, which Richard wasn’t very keen on. At least, that’s my assumption.
Steins;Gate is one of my favorites!
But I like Eva. There are many other anime out there worthy of the title “shit” than Evangelion.
Well, I’ll pass on the fight invitation. But why would you wish for the destruction of such a beloved franchise? Evangelion is one of my favorite stories in any medium, why would you wish to take that away from anybody? I get that you’re probably joking, but I’ve never said that Naruto or One piece should “die in a…
Really? I thought A.Z was a terrible show. Much more flawed than Eva was.
Well, I love Eva. And even if I didn’t, I’d rather have a lot of creative series that I didn’t like than an over abundance of the same-same generic anime that we’re mostly limited to today.
Maybe give Gunbuster a chance if your opinion is that Eva wasn’t interesting or had biblical references (which aren’t important…
Wut...
Space Dandy is freaking majestic. I love that show. So much creativity in a single anime, it’s unbelievable.
This is exactly how I feel about anime with in your face fanservice.
Poppy Hill was very well received though...
Evangelion was my first anime. Because I'm just that hardcore. I got right into the classics and fan favorites. Never did like the really popular ones like Naruto and Bleach, it was anime like that that made me uninterested in the medium for years. I generalized that every anime was over-long and filled with…
