How was the small ass Datsun pickup a response to the American pick up?

The whole idea of small truck is owed to Datsun/Nissan, and the new GM trucks owe everything to foreign design from all corners except America.

What I am saying is if it was wasn't for Nissan/Datsun there would be no small truck market. GM gave up on their small trucks be they were crap, then came back with a design that is similar to everything foreign.

This new F150 and Diesel Ram will help that out. American V8 is great to have if you need it, your working heavy jobs, but if you're the average Joe scooting your family around, I think the smaller engines are the way to go.
