But also i must point out that the Japanese movie industry is much smaller than America’s, this movie was probably $50mil where as your standard Hollywood blockbuster runs $150mil.…

I get it, people like giant monster movies, I did too as a kid. Loved all the Godzilla vs whatever movies out there. But this? This looks childish by comparison to what we expect from a monster movie. The monster looks mediocre from far away and static from up close. Clearly looks like a guy in a suit.
