The only reason I kept playing the game after my initial disappointment is because I loved the idea of being the bad guy.

This would have been cooler if it was a real lego model made from the transparent pieces.

What?

How close to the Television do you sit, and how big is it? Because that is largely what makes the difference. A good HD Monitor can 'appear' to have better resolution simply because we're 2' away. With the PC the resolutions matter more because you're well into the range, but with a TV if you're sitting a safe

I still firmly believe that 1080 versus 720 doesn't make a significant difference. It's like the people who talk about how much of a difference FPS makes.

Ooof. Well I'm officially no longer able to run new games at high specs on my PC. Thanks a lot, new gen, it was a good run. PS4 version for me!

I think you missed the point of my post completely. I was relating that as part of the majority, I never realized how much perspective I was missing by assuming my experience was the default. It was intended to be a reflection of my own point of view, not an implication that all white people are the same.

You probably shouldn't :P

Great article. I've found more and more recently how as an average white guy I never really 'got' a lot about other cultures, always assuming my experience was the default and everything else was an outlier. Then I married a 1st generation Indian woman, and realized how much most people need that kind of expanded

Just remember, Chickens used to be dinosaurs. Dinosaurs who would eat you without a second thought if given the chance.

I think of all people, Gamers need reminding on how awful Bullying is the least.

I hate Lena Dunham's show, and only recently learned Girls was actually supposed to be a comedy. I suffered through two or three episodes trying to 'get' it before I gave up.

Nintendo Characters look like they're parents. Our DK (from the Country series) is actually Donkey Kong JR.

The problem with Professor X is that he's too powerful. He can handle almost every threat they come across by himself (except for Magneto). The X-Men SHOULD just be glorified bodyguards.

Ubisoft, STAHP. Remember when AC was a new franchise and you were on top of your game? I want to love all of your games but you're making it harder.

Doom isn't 'evil' per say, especially in more recent characterizations (the last 10ish years). He's never going to be a 'good' guy, but he's more akin to Namor in that he's a ruthless and headstrong monarch.

I think this would have been truly awesome as a game if it took place during the great war right before OoT that orphaned the Hero of Time.

It would have been nice to know this in the Moon Strike, had to figure it out myself.

Oh good, this way I don't have to spend 30 minutes of a strike trying to figure out how we take on the boss and wondering why my partners are hiding at the door.

I'm playing Edge of the Empire from FFG. The freedom from too much math and too many board gamey aspects really appealed to my group - in one play session they were already more creative than they had been through D&D, Pathfinder and related systems.
