Any massless particle can only travel at the speed of light. It can't speed up or slow down. Therefore if the neutrinos are actually travelling faster than light and the theory of relativity is to be preserved then two things follow

The theory of relativity only states that particles cannot move at the speed of light. It says nothing about faster than or slower than light.
