Completely unrelated, but still really upset about adult swim being such a bro-zone. At least Rick & Morty is making an effort with its writing room, but still. Women can be gonzo and stoned and zany too!

Maybe if Ben Affleck threw some gummy bears at Perry he could he become a better director.

Thanks! Looks like the Bucket of Rain is full of bitter masterpieces.

I take the Kafka approach and think most artists have one idea of what quality is that may not be based on a clear rationale. Regardless grave robbing is grave robbing.

D'angelo's Prince tribute this year of Sometimes it Snows in April was probably the best music tribute I have ever seen. Too bad like everything Prince related it's not on YouTube.

Hitnrun Phase Two is truly a solid release. Art Official Age is kind of spotty but still a lot of fun.

Feels like it was written by a completely different author too. Any Rothophiles know what headspace he was in?

The only Roth book I have been able to enjoy is Portnoy's Complaint.

Steve Roach is the king of transcendent new age.

Two artists that could be lumped into tasteful, hipster New Age music Suzanne Ciani and Laraaji, and they are making amazing work under the FRKWYS series which pairs them with younger musicians cut from the same cloth. Ciani's Sunergy might be my current AOTY:

The new Orb album Chill Out is glorious and has a lot more musical depth than a lot of basic vaporwave, but 2814 and telepath and remember are excellent vaporwave musicians that are furthering the form from novelty music status.

Look at this guy trying to indoctrinate people into drinking swill as a means of communication. Hopefully you won't inspire anymore lapse alcoholics.

My all time favorite, The Best show has already been mentioned so I will throw three others out there:

I liked FDT by YG when I first heard it but it kind of ruins the album by being on there. Political songs are just too disposable to matter.

You're talking about gwb43.com, right? There's 22 million of them out there for you to catch.

There's a reason the reviewer neglected to mention Guest's HBO shown Family Tree, which is pure comedic stagnantion.

When the new Simpsons sucks it's painful like Married to the Blob, which I am sure is not being played at Ghibli's Studio mourning. But I have also seen episodes that are mostly forgettable but pacifying.

I couldn't read American Psycho, the use of italics alone was too disturbing. Bret Easton Ellis' podcast is strangely compelling though, the only podcast I would consider hate-listening.
