Is the AV Club's new purpose in life to contradict every rating posted on the Dissolve, I mean TOS?

Labyrinth and Dark Crystal (prefer the latter) are amazing displays of technical mastery, but both films' narrative are almost unbearable. The pacing is especially numbing and make spending time in those immaculately made worlds feel like a chore. Jim Henson, you should have found a better screen writer.

Dane Cook is much better on the podcast than he was on the show.

Obama is a Republican, and if his tax policies are too draconian then you may as well go live in the Fountainhead.

To anyone who dislikes her because their only exposure to her is through these editorials should listen to her recent Comedy Bang Bang appearance. Definitely one of my favorites from this year and she is nothing but game and delightful with PFT & Scotty boy.

Who would have thought that David Bowie could birth such a dweeb? At least Bowie has enough camouflage to hide his own dorkiness, but it's delightful nonetheless that such a talent could spring forth from his loins.

The Phil Hartman stuff makes the episode of Community he appears in all the more biting. Wonder if Andy Dick even saw the implications in the script about what they were trying to say about him? At least Dan Harmon got to work with someone with a higher alcohol blood level than he has, must do wonders for the

I will have you know my license clearly states me as racially and sexually ambiguous and with an Oedipus Complex. Those Percys are the worst.

I agree, that's why I posted it.

I wasn't aware everything I have to post on a pop culture comment section must be 100% sincere all the time, no exception!

You assume I am a straight white guy? For shame, don't you know the polls are in and AV Club readers are predominately gray asexual blobs.

I'm glad all of lesbians have a single white woman representing all of their values and beliefs. You see, it doesn't feel too great being out PC'd and reduced to your race, gender and sexual orientation! Or maybe it is and that's how Esposito gathers mana to strike out wickedly toothless social commentary.

Halloween belongs to necrophiliacs, back the hell off Cameron El dorado!

And Crystal Castles broke up.

Is there a single writer that's been alive in the past handful of millenniums capable of writing originally? No. All we can do is write, originality or talent be damned.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Perhaps it's the film's general sense of ambiguity that caused my interpretation, but it still doesn't make the movie any more misogynistic.

I didn't think the ex-boyfriend's false rape story is presented as reliable. The character is only introduced out of Nick and his attorney's desperation but is instantly dropped after Nick's student speaks out. A truly misogynistic movie would have hammered the false rape report as damming evidence of Amy's

Yes, and it makes all the faux-outrage about him apparently not knowing about Gillian Flynn or David Fincher feel over-sensationalized. Maybe this was a fluke for him or just proves how great the script and director were, and he'll go back to being insufferable, but I think his role as a shimmer of brevity in dark and
