Non-scientist here: if a mouse is running in a loop in microgravity quickly enough, wouldn’t the mouse feel the effects of centrifugal force in such a way that the mouse might start to perceive a “down”?

Running in circles might have been giving them a feeling of at least some gravity again, with some normalcy.

You need better brakes than the already massive Brembos for your daily commute? Wow what are you doing?

Attainability is my issue with the path Chevy is on with the Corvette. The Corvette was always the attainable American sports car. When this new mid-engine monster hits, (I’d hoped it was going to be a halo Caddy) the car will likely escalate past that point of relative attainability for many people.

A $55k (assuming the S209 is a bit more than last year’s Type-RA) STI with 341 hp makes no sense at all. That same sort of money will put you in an Audi RS3 which has more power and doesn’t make you look like a juvenile.

$45k is already a base S3 though, which is equally 300hp and AWD but much nicer to be in.

I have a heavily modified 2004 STI that I bought new. I want a new one that I can leave stock with factory power around 400.

When the STI first came out, it was the bee’s knees and absolutely fantastic and wonderful and etc. etc. Affordable performance that let you compete with cars costing three times as much, etc. But now that’s... just not the case. The Focus RS completely lapped it. A 4-cylinder Mustang will be faster for less money.
