This is actually why I love them so much. The gradual changes amount to something huge over the lifespan, but the fact they've remained so potent and competitive given the gradual evolution only proves the validity of the platform, IMHO. Great DNA, a multi-generational commitment to excellence, and a genuine

my soul appreciates new headlights.

I pretty much troll the Porsche USA site. I was building this one last night in the Macadamia brown. It was a special night, and I loved it. If by some miracle you guys were to pay me 140k for assorted snarky internet commentary, I'd spend it all on a GT3 (hint hint)

Geico Commercial Music Guy #1: How happy Jimmy?

Glad we've managed to reach a consensus here. Reasonable modifications are reasonable. That's a wrap folks, bring on the dancers!

Yes. A Stock XJ versus a Stock SquintyCheesegrater will be an interesting comparison. I'm sure we can find a stock XJ somewhere.

But this Cherokee is not an enthusiasts Cherokee. Why? It's going to be a pain (and likely prohibitively expensive) to significantly upgrade. The XJ, with all of it's simple, perhaps

Ah, so really just an extra heavy awd car then. That's neat.

Yeah, I like it. These are unibody now, right? Still with a solid rear axle, or no?

The issue is the use of the vehicle, as an instrument of deadly force, for the observed crime of general asshattery. That is an unacceptable use of deadly force as seen on TV, and the victim's family have a proper case for wrongful death, if we saw the whole truth. But.... what we don't know is what the asshats were

Am I the only one that prefers the updated bodywork? I think this design looks a lot better than the outgoing one. And yes, that matte white is awesome.

While that sucks, I prefer to cry over AMC instead.

I don't like getting to parties before the ladies have had a few... My sense of humor goes down easier with a subtle buzz in a room where all the men have already been soberly rejected.

While your history was a little off, I'm glad someone offered a defense for the white roof. It makes a difference too. I'd paint the top of my jeep hardtop white if the thing stayed on during the summer.

That's true. However, it's still crazy squinty, and I'm not a fan of the chrome-ish grill inserts.

Lets make this happen. You call Audi, I'll look around for somewhere they can offload all the extra doors too.

Land Rover doesn't sell a proper off-road utility vehicle here in the states, and I'm concerned for the future of the Defender overseas. Granted, I love my Jeep TJ, and it does what I bought it for, but that Defender 110 Double Cab Pickup would be a hard thing to resist. I'm afraid they'll stop making them

I get the hatch hate, but I'm trying to wrap my head around a world where the the newly announced S3 Sedan is a hell of a lot better than the RS3 Sportback. Lil help?

This. Note the price point too. The S3 is the new S4 throwback.

Yeah, I get it, and I believe you and all that, I'm just not overly enthused. However, with the price of the S4's being as high as they are now, and as big as they are getting (almost 9 inches longer than the old B5 platform), I can see the market for this car.

First, you weigh one bee, then you weigh the whole truck with the bees attached. Then you catalog all the known items left in the truck, and determine their combined weight plus about 7.3lbs to accommodate unknown glove compartment items, a charger for an old phone that you were once absolutely sure is in there, and
