I hope they improve the Roku (and I believe other platforms) app experience. You can see about 10 of their current popular shows, what’s coming, what’s going, and then everything else is an alphabetical list A-Z of the entire platform. I want to see more popular/recommended stuff. The Netflix app is really a great…
One year is the bare minimum for a vaccine, simply because that’s how long the process takes from scratch. 18 months is the most likely scenario, as the first attempt probably won’t work. Two years is not an unreasonable estimate.
I think this is spot on.
I mainly think this is going to continue in phases. For a lot of America, it isn’t even real yet. And that should be a good thing, but the trend has been that places aren’t issuing stay at home directives until it arrives. Only 30 states have issued these types of directives.
And fiber won’t be cheap. This would require a direct burial fiber cable or running conduit between the two houses. Then add two network switches with and two SFP modules for the type of fiber being used.
This. Certainly there are electrical code issues with stringing cables between houses.
I’m not sure it’s unethical to share internet service. Would it be illegal to share phone service, power or gas? Especially if it’s a metered connection I don’t see an ethical dilemma at all.
This isn’t stealing IP or anything like that.
Well that and $150 will get you a passport.
“I’ll save you a seat at the bar”
Exactly this, my credit union is part of the co-op network and its a larger network of ATMs than Chase and B of A combined! For my credit union (LFCU) the app shows all the of closest ATMS nearby for use. also, typically ATMs in a 7-11 are a part of the co-op network.
I’ve used credit unions for the past couple decades. They still have some fees, but are generally much better than banks, and are member owned.
Two words: Credit Union. Although truthfully you need to keep an eye on them too. When I was buying a home (short sale - takes time) mine checked my credit score without permission a second time and charged me a $50 as part of the pre-approval/loan process.
Always have a local credit union for cash and paycheck deposits, plus if you need to make the odd cashier’s check...
See here’s the thing: Japanese cars don’t require maintenance.
This is why I don't get the "buy American" crowd. They mean American branded when the foreign branded are nearly more American made and better made. List like these are why I'll never buy an American branded car again.
As much as Ford and Chevy would like to believe otherwise, for utilitarian cars they’re still plagued with quality issues you don’t see in Japanese cars. I don’t get it. It’s almost as if they were run by a mindless board that only wants to maximize profit for as long as they can while under-investing in R&D and…
Maybe not an american owned company, but many of those are built in North America.
Websites that use autoplay videos? I’m not sure why we use these things.
I made a TSA officer laugh on my last “random” screening. Because I’ve had it done a dozen times before, I just stood there, arms up and left him to get on with it. At one point he said “you don’t seem to be too bothered about this” and I replied “I’m not the one feeling up some stranger’s junk in an airport”.
