I bought into facial recognition when I got a burn/blister/scar on my thumb that rendered my fingerprint unrecognizable for weeks. Such a pain.

Straight up. I really did not want to upgrade from my 6s. I thought not having the home button would suck and that the face recognition would be horrible to use. I was wrong on both. I got the Xr about 7 months ago. I got used to the lack of the home button after about 1-2 days and the face recognition works so damn

When my daughter gets a little older it sounds like a no brainer. No asking me to buy her new games or IAPs, she can just play whatever she wants from the arcade lineup. I waste $5/mo on a lot less without thinking about it.

I wasn’t at all interested... but $5 for me and the 5 family members linked to my Apple ID is kind of ridiculous, especially considering my brother has a kid. Hearing that there won’t be IAPs is the icing on the cake.

Hallelujah. At least paste the script in the article body. Those of us who are wasting work time in close proximity to our work fellows aren’t always in a position to light up a video, but we sure could read some text. Not having text is a disservice to your readers.

Mmmmm....depends on what apps you’re running.

Screw the stupid videos in place of words (and screw Jim Spanfeller for this fucking stupid idea).

Also, if your dimmer switches were sold during the Carter administration you’ll probably want to switch those out too.

One thing to keep in mind - if you have dimmer switches in your house, you’ll want to look specifically for LEDs that can be dimmed. If you don’t, you’ll get weird buzzing/flickering when you try to dim your lights.

From the posts I’ve see from Waffle House, it looks like they run a incident command structure that resembles the structure that FEMA and other government agencies use.

It was a duty as much as it was an opportunity.

You beat everyone else to the punch.

Offal? Doesn’t sound that bad, really.

The UK’s existence in the EU already has a few “concessions” built in. If they were thinking they could get additional ones, then they were more deluded than I thought.

Yeah 165 is the 7 log 10 instant pasteurization time for Salmonella. It is a Time/Temp combo that determines food safety. If you hold a meat at ~123f/50.6c for long enough, it becomes safe to eat. Higher temp means less time it needs to be held. By the time your meat reaches 165, it’ll already be safe to eat though

Watching this play out has been mind-boggling. I feel like I could study for a decade and still have no clue how the UK political system works. I thought our system was a mess until I saw these folks repeatedly just seize up and crap their pants while trying to enact the will of the people (whether or not that will is

Sous vide makes excellent chicken breast. Granted I have only tried the boneless/skinless type because I was on a diet at the time but it made what is normally a dry and boring meat moist and quite tasty.

While I’ve never wondered what chicken sashimi would look like, that header picture answers the question nicely.

The hardest part of poaching chicken is making sure the game wardens don’t catch you at it. 😉

Where is your router placed? Is it in a closet or other enclosed area? Are there a lot of walls between you and the router? 5ghz signals don’t generally go through a lot of obstructions. 2.4 is a little better generally.

*Usually* range issues are a function of obstructions and whatnot.
