I liken it to private ownership of the road that is connected to your home.
I pay RoadCo for the use of that road on a monthly basis. Guests to my house don’t have to pay anything for that road, and neither do FedEx or UPS. They have to pay for the road that goes to their home or business, though.

Actively think about what you perceive as hunger.

They suggest leaving off the sour cream and cheese, and including rice only “if you’re hungry.”

None of you idiots are paying any attention to what I’m saying. It’s about the double standard, not about the issue of gun safety.

Actually, people need to be aware of how to make sure guns don’t kill people.
I’ve personally not seen the double standard you speak of, but I believe you when you say you’ve seen it.
With everyone I know, when something like that NRA shooting range thing happens, they are quite harsh about making sure to call it a

As someone that owns guns, I completely agree with what you’re saying. If you are negligent in how you store guns, and someone steals them, you should lose your right to have them.
Also agree on gun safety being mandatory.
So often people that are anti-gun and pro-gun argue about the things that neither are going to

Wife and two teenage daughters here. When one asks for chocolate, I go ahead and buy for the other two.

ANY UPS would be better than any surge protector, and better than most line conditioners. Some of the recommendations here for surge protectors are getting close to UPS price range.
Power surges are an issue, sure, but the power flickering on and off as the power goes out or even as it comes back online is far more

My point was to question why the regulations would care about saving a family money?
If it is a safety issue, they have no problem spending TONS of money on it. Why make the exception here?

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen. I’m saying that the United carriage agreement lists the reasons why they may remove someone after boarding, and making room for some of their employees isn’t one of them.
I’m also sure that it often happens in violation of this agreement, but most people go along with it because they

2/3 of deaths by guns are suicides.
Japan’s suicide rate is 50% higher than the USA’s.
Why does the tool used for death matter more than the death itself?

I don’t think anyone hates the idea of bullet trains.
I think a lot of people hate the idea of spending tons of government money to subsidize the creation of bullet trains.
I’ve also noticed that while I chose to take the train when in Europe, most of the people I interacted with there still prefer to fly for anything

Tell me what part of the carriage agreement allows them to remove someone *after* they have boarded without cause?
Before you board, it is all fair game. They can bump you and everything, and you don’t have to agree to it. There are laws about how you are to be compensated, but they clearly have the right to do it.
AFTER

Paying a family $11k and not smashing their noses makes Delta look like heroes compared to this.

Wait, what?

-The people that were not yet on the plane were United employees. Perhaps they needed to take that flight to staff another flight.
-They did offer $400 and a room. Then $800. However, apparently over $800 and you’re better of dragging a man off the plane and dealing with the social media outcry.

I get that they needed

The 2.4 GHz spectrum isn’t getting expanded. The 5 GHz wasn’t expanded, either. The DFS channels were there from the start, it just took a while for devices to be compliant and certified.

Exactly. We also already have national healthcare, just done in the most ineffective way. It is called the emergency room.
