From my personal experience, I did speak up, and no body listened so I stopped speaking.

Thanks to a panel-wide misunderstanding of Asian geography and some nimble betting work, he won.
Because the chances of the perpetrator facing any consequences are extremely low, and the chances of the victim facing negative consequences (victim shaming, a reputation for being a drama queen or a liar, death/rape threats from the perpetrator’s “fans,” etc) are extremely high.
You should read up on how many women are treated by the court system. Slut shaming is a common enough term, if the woman was dressed provocatively she was “asking for it”.
Where would they find redress?
You think that it’s your fault because you’ve been told your whole life the things you have to do to stay safe, and if you’re not safe you feel as if you did something wrong. You feel shame because you think that somehow you let it happen, that you gave an opening, that you led someone on, that you didn’t say “no”…
Fucking soccer and its goddamn written rules.
Former professional goalkeeper/current goalkeeper coach at UNC Wilmington here. He’s in the correct position. His team is in possession and pressing forward. It’s his job to move forward with them, to keep the gap between himself and his last defender consistent, in order to be in good position to intercept a through…
I grew up in the East Bay and went to a lot of A’s games as a kid - $2 bleachers and BART tickets that were about the same and we’d go on our own. No parents. No adults at all. Just freedom of BP, nachos, giant cokes and tons of Davids. Watching the A’s OF of Henderson, Murphy and Armas was great for my friends and…
The fact that he was falsely accused of a crime is just further proof that Whitehead isn’t Cowboys material.
Unfortunately we define market value by how much other teams pay
Living in Raleigh it was kind of funny how overshadowed he was and how many NC State fans really didn’t like him. Every time I saw him it was obvious he had the potential to be really damn good in the NBA. I don’t know why he went so low, I figured he’d be 5ish.
Admittedly I only saw Smith Jr. a little bit in college, but my impression was “Boy is he fucking fast with the ball.” That’s my favorite NBA skill, being not just super quick, but somehow not losing any of that speed while dribbling. Makes a player exciting as hell. John Wall, Ty Lawson come to mind. Iverson was the…
Ridiculous. Obviously, Sagan’s elbow flicks out after Cavendish has already hit Sagan and it’s reflexive, not aggression.
This. Defense did their job, any unit on the field that much in the 2nd will collapse. Even a Belichick unit.
I’ve said this before, but I think it warrants repeating. It’s not so much the calling of passing plays that bothers me so much as the *types* of pass plays that were called. I mean, if the NE defense is expecting a run and instead you pass and surprise them and pick up an easy first down, I have no problem with that…
And while I’m not solely blaming Matty Ice for the loss given the reports that he wasn’t permitted to audible into a run play, but he really should have worked the play clock more instead of snapping with 10+ seconds left.
exactly..Ridiculous that they blamed the defensive coaches. The D played a GREAT game. But, you cant leave your defense on the field for the entire game and expect them to not wear down. The 2nd half was one of the all time worst Offensive coaching jobs of all time.
It was clearly his fault the Falcons called only 5 run plays in the second half.
Seems common sense that it would be a free kick from the spot of the infraction. It’s only hand ball if the guy is actually playing, otherwise any touching of the ball while it’s in play is simply interference.
