Umm actually fast boats used as IEDs are a huge threat to navy ships, which is part of the reasoning for more littoral craft.

I have an iPhone and iPad, on both I use microsoft apps and I've noticed how they are going out of their way to use the metro ui in everything they do. It's very clever if you want to get iPhone users to convert, I like what they've done and with better hardware and they'd have me.

Depending on the hardware I may want.. Well that and I need the apps I currently use on my iPad.
I'm not talking about OSX, I have no reason to dislike it.
In the end everything comes down to personal preference, apple has a long history of locking down their equipment and software. True they did get better about it since they switched to x86 but this just goes back to the old ways, and reaffirms my fears as I was nearing the need for a new laptop.
Well its a moot point now, I'm not buying out of date equipment...
