I don’t really see how that’s contradictory. Very few games are meant to simulate real life, but almost all of them are BASED on it. You need a point of reference, regardless.

That just cancels you out of the equation. If you’re not a customer at all, then they have no reason to care what you think. Support the good games and don’t pay for, download, or buy the bad ones. That gets them the right message.

The first one was pretty expensive for a mobile game ($15!) but there was nothing stopping you from playing for hours on end. No microtransactions or anything. Just a single purchase for a full game. What a novel concept.

If they complain about the profanity, it means they at least read your code!

This. As a developer (not of the game variety, more data scientist) I have a bunch of console prints which are basically: “Goddamnit, the bug is back.” in different forms, and I never take them out.

Also my comments are profanity laden, but developers have to vent somehow.
