Doesn’t meet US crash and safety standards.

Even non-obese Americans won’t fit into one of these. When we travel to Mexico City my company hires transportation with driver instead of having us rent cars. We VERY quickly learned to subtract about 1/3 from number of people say can fit in a vehicle.

Freightliner did a fuel economy run from Detroit to Portland, OR when the new Cascadia was released. 2,400 miles loaded to 78,000 lbs GCW. The old 2016 Cascadia Evolution did 9.3 mpg and the 2018 “new” Cascadia did 10 mpg.

The USA is doing pretty good on vaccines (33%) - some other countries are doing better. Israel is 60%, UK is 48%, Chile is 38%.

I thought Montana was the state of choice for wealthy Californians to take up fake residency at their vacation homes to avoid taxes.    No background check required for a private sale there either.

Nobody in the auto industry was getting quarterly bonuses the 1st half of 2020. The industry was bleeding red ink.

Daimler, Volvo, and VW Trucks already have electric HD trucks in customer’s hands today.

No. Volvo trucks and Volvo cars are different companies. AB Volvo sold Volvo Cars to Ford in 1999 and Ford sold them to Geely in 2010

Yes, this is the mechanics fault. If the wheels were so rusted onto the drum flange that a sledge hammer was required to remove the wheel he should have spend about 5 minutes with a wire brush to clean up the flanges before attempting to reinstall the wheels.

A used Prius is the correct answer. We had two 2nd generations. Both went 10 years without anything required besides routine scheduled maintenance and a lead-acid starting battery and averaged 45 mpg in mixed driving.

Lowest legal pay for a crewman crossing international waters is $850 USD a month. That explains why most ships are crewed by workers from low-income countries.

Why did automakers cancel orders instead of taking delivery and stockpiling for a rapid rebound?   They didn’t want to spend the money to hold inventory.

Yes, if someone wants to buy a used bike. Many people like to buy new vehicles. Bikes are no different than cars. Why would anyone buy a new basic econobox when they could get a slightly used mid-size for the same price?  They want a new car not a used car.

Harley already has a deal with QJMotor for a 350cc single. It is based on the Benelli BN302.

Charge speed is complicated. It depends on the car, charger, battery state of charge (SOC), and temperature. It also depends on how aggressive or conservative a company is on their charge profile. In general the faster you charge a battery the harder it is on the battery and the shorter the battery life.

The biggest news with the EV part of Biden’s infrastructure plans is that they are talking about a rebate instead of the current tax credit. A rebate would give every buyer the same amount of money to buy an EV.

Why didn’t other automakers stockpile chips? It costs money. It really is as simple as that.

The S&P 500 dropped 34% in 33 days. That is the quickest drop ever. Then congress passed a $2.2 trillion dollar stimulus package and it was pretty clear they weren’t going to make the same mistake as in 2009. The Feds sent a very strong signal that they were going to do whatever it took to keep the economy going.
