I don’t buy sedans - period. If you were talking about the wagon version you would have a point but a sedan is nowhere as useful as a CUV - or a wagon - or a hatchback.

1. Street parking needs to go away. It is very expensive and a massive waste of space in cities choking on gridlock. It is also dangerous when you have large vehicles parked close to an intersection blocking the view on on-coming traffic.
We are building out cell manufacturing plants in the USA. Panasonic has a cell manufacturing in the USA as does LG and maybe others. GM and LG have a new cell manufacturing cell about to come online in Ohio.
The key battery technology is the cell chemistry. No US manufacturer - including Tesla - is using their own cells. They are all purchased from foreign companies.
Disagree. Governments need to support home and work charging. We need to slow charge EVs during off-peak times. For people that own a home this isn’t a big deal - a level 2 charger is $500 - $1000. The problem is people that live in apartment building and condos. This is where government programs are needed to…

No. Ford mortgaged everything pre-recession to get private loans. They then took out an additional $22 billion in loans from the government during the recession because they had tapped out their credit with private lenders. There was nothing normal about the TALF program.
Ford got $22 billion in federal loans to get them through the great recession. They are still paying it back.
Ford borrowed $5.9 billion for the DOE and $15.9 billion from TALF to avoid bankruptcy.
Ford didn’t go bankrupt but they did get bailed out by the federal government in 2008 / 2009. Without government loans they would have gone bankrupt.
That cruelty is what defines the state of Native American life today. All your examples are multiple-generations old.
The EU, China, Korea, and Japan are supporting battery manufacturers in the countries. They are doing so because they want their companies to be players in this critical technology. If the USA doesn’t do the same we can expect to be dependent on foreign suppliers for battery tech. We are already way behind.
We have a SAE standard charger in the USA. It is CCS. Every automaker except for Tesla uses CCS in the USA now. (Nissan was the last CHAdeMO holdout)
3 of them are too long. She has to parallel park in a spot that is 176 inches long. Good luck doing that with a car that is 172 inches long.
If you put in a driveway and home charger you don’t need public chargers. Slow charging overnight is the only way EVs work at scale. It is also VERY convenient.
Seems like the simplest way is to allow you to install a driveway in front of your home.
I suspect they are looking for legal options to challenge the award. It happens sometimes in defense contracts where the loser files suite and get the award thrown out and the bidding process reopened.
The design spec for this vehicle was to do both - mailboxes and package delivery. It is intended to cover 99% of delivery trips. No doubt it is less maneuverable than a LLV but that letter volume is continually dropping while package delivery is increasing. This vehicle is intended to have a 20 years lifespan so…
The Mustang Mach-e starts at $42,895 and still has a $7500 tax credit. (AWD starts at 45,595)
