The Dodge Charger and Challenger have brand identity. Chrysler - not so much. The Pacifica should have been a Dodge as the Caravan was their strongest minivan name. Chrysler sold less than 17,000 300's in 2020. It is basically dead.

Cadillac had it’s best year ever in 2019 on strong sales in China.   They sold 390K vehicle globally.

I think Dodge and Chrysler still exist because FCA didn’t want to spend billions buying back the dealer franchises.

Why are you comparing an $80,000 Audi to a $38,000 Tesla Model 3? The e-Tron competes with the Model S.

The Mini EV is $30K or $22,500 after the federal tax credit.

So they rode 33.5 miles and used 80% of the battery.   That means their promotional video proves that they real range on surface streets is only about 40 miles.

So the J1772 plug is an option?   Their press releases make it sound like it was standard.   That is another strike against them.

I’ve been riding a motorcycle for 30 years. I also ride mountain bikes and have a scooter for commuting. Both have the front brake on the right bar and rear brake on the left bar and it works great. Bingo. My wife and I are working from home. She took a 20% pay cut but we are both still employed. Our big discretionary spending category is travel. Our 3 week motorcycle tour in Europe was cancelled. A 2 week trip to Costa Rica was cancelled.

From this “merican” perspective the CT125 Trail does everything a Monkey does plus is large enough for a normal size adult.

Why? Anything the Grom does the CB125 does better.

What reason does Chrysler have to exist anymore, then?

I’m a manufacturing engineer for an automaker and have been in the business since 1996. Those “grizzled vets” are mercenaries - give them a fat paycheck and they will come work for your company. Nothing mentioned in this article is new tech - it is just the basics of building cars.

Electric cars still have a radiator for the water cooled electric motors and battery pack.    They also still have an A/C condenser.

How is any synthetic material more biodegradable than leather?

It is in the back seat and uses a different connector because - Tesla.

Daimler, Volvo, VW, Hino - all the major truck manufacturers are working on both electric trucks and fuel cell trucks. Electric works great for ports, drayage, and local delivery but the current tech isn’t a good fit for long-haul trucking.

About a month ago Musk said they were still working to develop the forming technology for the Cybertruck. Turns out making huge production quality parts with a press brake isn’t easy.
