But if you're doing all this so you can freeze my bra, I'll kill you
<spoilers> in one of the episodes coming up when Jess is cleaning their rain gutters, Lorelai does start to make the smallest steps towards 'bonding' with Jess (and same with Jess towards Lorelai) at the urging of Rory.
obviously Mrs Kim was exaggerated, and sometimes just way too much (in that the writers went overboard), but growing up around a lot of different cultures, she's actually kind of an accurate portrayal of some of my friend's families. Especially if they were female.
they never married and according to her he is trying to 'take their son away from her'. Either way, never made it to the altar.
it's such a great opening!!!!!!
this is really interesting, and agree that Richard is really proud of Lorelai and all her accomplishments despite of how it was not what he had envisioned for her, and he will never get over that.
ok so maybe change my LOVE to "I really like/enjoy Secrets and Loans" … but I seriously do not see how it could be singled out as a terrible episode at all (I agree with the comment but am still flabbergasted at the reviewer)
oh man, they even use better pictures in their recaps… the actual effort put into this vs here is astonishing. I feel like I'm cheating on the AV Club by reading these other recaps but I can't help myself
thanks for the link!
yay Canada! I'm assuming Canada…
honestly, what the fuck!
what? I LOVE secrets and loans ….
me, chief of sexiness and spooning
I really hope Gary doesn't break up with Dana over the summer and gets written out - I really want to keep seeing him struggle with the women in his life, and I really like Jessica St Clair
Chung is one of the most vile characters on TV for me right now - so props to the writers and the actor.
The fact that he can play up on being a minority and in the military is actually frightening, especially since he is a terrible person (but I guess in DC the range is Terrible, Really Terrible, or DEFCON Fuck…
I also liked his reaction to Sue getting dissed - a mix of "oh no you didn't" and sweet vindication
I love that she managed to throw that in there even though she was fucking pissed off as hell at Gary and the veep… that is commitment to a catchphrase
"I'm in you, I'm in you right now…" …. oh poor buster bluth
this was one of my top 5 fave lines from this ep
