all I did last week since this recap started was play simcity and watch gilmore girls

it's kind of fun to see Rory flip out sometimes - SPOILERS: like that time she realizes Paris has spent her entire life doing volunteer work and she has done nothing with her life.

ASP has a way of creating shows that are wholesome enough to run on the WB (after 7th Heaven) and ABC Family (Bunheads) but still appeal to us cool kids at the AV Club.

you just blew my mind. I've watched this series a ridiculous amount of times and never even noticed that Miss Celine was Alex Borstein. holy SHIT

the Luke thing will be explained (but it's just a one off line from his character)

I've said the same thing about Bledel's acting to someone before. It's like she actually forgets/stops trying. I don't know if it was the writing or her 'acting' that made awkward Chilton Rory work, but when she hit Yale, it was horrible. The girl that played her 1st year weirdo young genius roommate was cute and

I think part of it is that Christopher represents her past, which is a huge part of the show and because no one in Stars Hollow, or anywhere could truly ever understand her past like Christopher could. It's such a huge part of who she is and why she is the way she is, so he was always a viable romantic connection

she was the speed dial girl!

umlauts!!!

let's also take a moment to recognize that Sookie has an Emmy and Lorelai does not (and neither does Emily)

it took me something like 5 rewatches of the show to start to like Logan. But he actually made sense for Rory. Like he points out in one of the episodes, Rory and him are not that different.

season 7 really wasn't that bad. I find it more watchable than the parts where Lorelai and Rory are in a fight … but the Christopher stuff in season 7 is terrible

it's going to be so fun to relive her descent into annoying-land, YAY!

Awkward Chilton era Rory is the BEST

the depth of their relationship (and the acting by all 3) is one of the best aspects of this show for me, potentially even better than the whole Lorelai and Rory thing - esp once we hit the Yale years …

I just marathoned it all last night. It's enjoyable. I find it to be a cross between Parks and Rec / Community … comedy without being mean, and a group of friends who shouldn't be friends but are. Nothing offensive but sweet and good feels all around.

as much as I loathe Mumford and Sons, this is a really neat idea and I like the sentiment of it. Way to go Mr Carey Mulligan

I actually thought Roker said "sharts" …. sharks make more sense in the context that Tracy put him up to it. But sharts …. oh man.

time to break out the old fanny pack and NCIS marathon I guess….
