That (1) there is no research showing that NLP has the therapeutic effects it claims and (2) that it is fundamentally predicated on manipulation can both be true at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive in any respect.

The author seems unsure of what to do. On the one hand, they want to criticize nlp as a fringe theory that doesn’t work, but on the other hand, also criticize it as something sinister that “manipulates” adult women into making choices they didn’t want to make.
What? No.
You know, what with launching an anti-obesity campaign the week before a national 50% off offer for food premises that includes most major fast food outlets and this evening having to re-engage lockdown amongst much of the North I’m starting to think this government doesn’t have a clue what they’re doing...
I don’t disagree with you. I wish Democrats would embrace a more progressive platform. I look at Joe Biden and I think, is that the best we can do? But I am also a realist. A third party candidate has no chance of winning this election. Joe Biden at least has a chance. And getting Trump out is the most important thing…
Some of us tried to warn that this was coming. We were mostly laughed at.
No Man’s Sky didn’t really fuck up though. It was mostly (and I say mostly because there was some level of fuck up on their part) massive, ridiculous overreacting by “Gamers”.

Getting COVID-19 from a mask! What a maroon!
I think he was referring what he was told (not told) about Israel during his formative years, or at least that’s the impression I got from reading the article. Doesn’t seem disingenuous or stupid to me to believe what you learn from your parents and religious community as a child, and everyone has a different…
Why does this matter? Well, McDonald’s employs 800,000 people and is one of the world’s most visible fast-food brands.
And in almost every single industry both like and unlike.
Because some people like complaining about everything Biden does, even though it’s pretty common knowledge that candidates usually don’t announce their VP until right before the convention and have for decades.
I assume a lot of it has to do with player cosmetics and such.
I realize that there is an awful lot we do not know about COVID-19, and yes, the reports of reinfection seem to be (as a percentage of overall cases, anyway) quite rare.
I really would commiserate with damn near anyone suffering from a mental health episode in a public forum, where their physical/social interactions are beyond their control. But his outbursts are hurting people. Calling planned parenthood a terrorist org, demonizing women’s ability to control their bodies, belittling…
Liberals need a positive, exciting reason to show up to the polls and unify the party.
I think it’s safe to say that the authors here know why I’m saying what I’m saying...
