Except there is such a thing as desensitization to violence, maybe not to the point of going out and killing people but to a lesser extent it definitely does happen. First time my wife played Bioshock infinite at the first gory scene she got physically ill, that was about 5 years ago, now it’s one of her favorite

That’s fine, I’m not saying that video games 100% cause gun violence (because they don’t), just throwing out a suggestion on the video game side of things. On the gun side of things it all gets more complicated and political to the point where things won’t/can’t change. So if we fix this there’d be less power to blame

That makes sense, but I think by the time you’re using a gun recklessly you’re already (or about to) breaking some sort of law and would likely be too late for it to have accomplished anything.

First amendment aside since this is already regulated by retailers. This wouldn’t necessarily be a law just a ToS contract, in which violating lets them ban accounts or something similar.

That’s interesting, thanks for sharing.

Hence why it’d have to be enforced like alcohol, meaning you can’t buy an M rated game with or for a child under 17 and doing so would be against the law. You wouldn’t be able to enforce what they do with the game once it gets home but you can’t do that with alcohol either.

I’m not disagreeing but what about AO rated games or games with nudity or “sex” scenes (Witcher 3), violence aside I assume the nudity would be considered obscene, right?

Hence account bans, the only tricky part would be kids playing on their parents or older siblings accounts, but fearing an account ban might help there. The only problem I could really see with digital purchases is there’s no way to easily prove/disprove a child was playing said game (outside of streamers) without

Out of curiosity isn’t adult entertainment regulated similarly? Even though that surely falls under the “media” category for First Amendment rights.

So retailers have to be the ones to create and enforce such policies? If I understand you correctly.

17 was age cut-off that I used to know, that may have changed though. So what it would require is for retailers to crackdown on underage purchases like alcohol or is that still prohibited?

Why not treat M games like Alcohol? Can’t purchase them with or for a child under 17 and accounts found in violation are banned (At least until the user is 17). At the very least we’d get rid of some whiny kids in multiplayer.

Itazura Na Kiss definitely deserves a spot on this list somewhere.

This exact fight did break me actually, fortunately I was only renting it, so my ragequit didn’t net me a $65 loss. After losing the battle twice, I fully geared Rath armor and defense buff and went back in, only to die from it spamming it’s dig attack and hitting me with it when I was well outside it’s range. I just

Man I loved Evolve, that’s exactly what I thought when I read the description.

Is this beta just for PS4 or for Xbox as well? And is it open or do you need to sign up/pre-order to get access to it? Thanks!

Wouldn’t this technically be a SIE Fighter?

I played this on a display at Wal-Mart when I was a kid and fell in love with it, I was never able to find the game again after that sadly.

Bleh, alright thanks for the reply, I guess I’ll be putting the LFP feature on Xbox to good use this weekend.

Question from a Destiny newb, I noticed when I try to Nightfall it never puts me in a fireteam, is this intended so you actually have to go and look for a group beforehand or am I just doing something wrong?
