Please tell me Jane Carter of Mars is a real thing and not just an awesome name.

Nah, the pain doesn’t cause sterility. You’d have to do a LOT more than kick someone for that. But even if it does cause sterility, GOOD.

How can you be an asshole with such a cool an obscure alias like yours?

All the stars!

“We have no empirical evidence nor can we define it* but we “believe” porn to be bad.”

That’s dumb. Porn isn’t a health risk because it normalizes sexual violence. Porn is a health risk because after I started masturbating 8 times a day I gained 60 lbs and my motor coordination started skewing heavily towards a single hand.

You know, there was a time when sex was to be enjoyed between consenting adults.

No, getting stabbed in the testicles would be somewhat similar, and even then less traumatic and less life-threatening. I hope you are not a doctor.

Thought so :D Nothing wrong with your friends.

Hey! This was self-defense! Against literal months of torment. You ARE the problem.

Oh, and maybe count the times male characters in movies have a conversation without mentioning a woman. I think you will see that most movies don’t have a problem passing that test. Now, why should something that is so easy for male characters to pass be considered unrealistic for female characters?

Why? I get the impression that you’re quite young. Since youth is the prime time to settle things like finding a life partner, that topic will seep into most conversations. Now, if you’re nearing 30, then yes, you guys need to add some variety.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with talking about men, as long as it’s not the only thing discussed, ever. Men probably spend a decent amount of time talking about women. But there’s so much more to life than men. Politics, hobbies, friends, religion, history, science, TV, makeup, current events, travel, sports,

Unappreciated by whom, Joanna? By you and the rest of the media? Because unlike you elitists, honest, hardworking Americans have been appreciating the hell out of that table for years.

Try watching a show where any two women or girl characters have a conversation without mentioning a man.

Because it’s really annoying as a female viewer when the female characters are solely defined by their interactions/views on men. Women aren’t like that. We talk about all sorts of things and sometimes men come into the topic of conversation. On screen there are plenty of well written examples of men talking together

The Bechdel Test is a pretty low bar, if you ask me. Two named women, having a conversation that’s not about a man. That’s all.

I find it fascinating but baffling how people reacted to this. There’s tons, tons, TONS, of images of people making beautiful notes and illustrations in their Bibles on Pinterest.

It’s not really a standard that applies to Real Life. 2 named female characters, talking with each other, about something other than men. You and your friends have names and you presumably have conversations about all manner of topics (not involving the “plot arcs” of the men in your lives). So you are literally
