Agreed Stewart had the "chops" to where it was you were expected to appear on his show or you were a pu**y. With Noah it's still acceptable to say "Trevor who?" and take a pass, especially if he's a tough interviewer. There's no social obligation or peer pressure to face Trevor Noah yet.

Remember after 9/11 how one of the big news stories was whether "it was okay to laugh/be funny again?" and everyone was looking to Jon Stewart and David Letterman for permission to laugh?
