Rally has never been a boring sport. It has always been filled to the brim with excitement and passion. Today, people are complaining that a lot of racing disciplines have become too regulated, too even, and therefore boring.

Seeing as the live axle is one of the Mustang's defining characteristics, I'm pretty sure it'll stay in. The Mustang has always been about affordable performance and fun, and that live axle has been somewhat of a symbol for Ford that they're staying true to their roots.
That's a great story! I love the video. That camera very nearly met its end!

That is a very good COTD! Congrats!
While some may see the complete paving of Pikes Peak as an unwelcome softening of the legendary race, I see it as an opportunity to take a step back to a more simplistic style of racing. Race DOWN the mountain in soapbox cars! Little Johnny could join in the fun! It would become an event for the whole family!
Is it just me or does that look...'shopped?
May the force be with him.
Clearly this is fake. Only Toyotas have such sticky throttles.
That's one good looking car, but I can't help but wonder how long it will be until some news story pops up saying, "The Top Gear boys have been seen pushing the newest Tesla on the side of the road!"
Sir Joslin? Youtube user ashotog has several videos of the trip.

Wow. These records sure are easily broken! I had better train harder for my Most Hotel Pen Caps Lost in a Minute attempt. I don't want to be beaten so quickly! I'm only kidding. This record actually has some merit to it.
Great list! I don't mean to be a jerk, but I just want to let you know that in the RS200 paragraph, there's a typo where you said "RS2000." It's not a big deal, and it's an easy mistake to make.
What was wrong with it? This is what I've found.
Those cars...are more than cars. They are a testament to mankind's passion for creating. Watching the video, the sheer diversity stood out to me. You have your classic Chevy coupe, and then you have some obscure van. You have your lead sled, and then you have your rat rod with a faucet for a hood ornament. Those cars…
I can't see how that would be very good off road. The long wheel base gives it a huge turning circle and makes it easy to get stuck like a beached whale. It also has to be incredibly heavy.
Matthew 24:36
Thou shalt not covet, thou shalt not covet, thou shalt not covet.........arghhh........
Should have used one of these....
