If you go back and watch season 1 and see that when he got back to the city he was basically a barely restrained serial killer it makes the acting more impressive. He has this look in his eye when dealing with people as "Oliver" that he's just about to snap and murder that person.

The further this goes it keeps showing how out of his depth Kring is. Boring tired plots we've already seen handled better by shows on other networks.
