Overall, I side with Dr. Martin here... what she describes in these anecdotes is classic insecure White alpha-male posturing, and it’s wrong on many, many levels.

we had a guy like this at my undergrad. He and his College Republican buddies “woke up” to find their house vandalized and did what anyone in that situation would do: sent out a fundraising letter to the GOP mailing list. It was later determined they vandalized their own house.
