Don’t be sorry. I had the opposite reaction: I was impressed by how well you avoided that spoiler until the latter half of the review. Anyone who expects episode reviews to be spoiler-free is being unreasonable. You can’t discuss an episode of television without discussing said episode.

AV Club has always focussed on dissection rather than a base discussion of quality. If I want a rough idea I just check the grade - if I want to engage with the analysis then I’ll wait till after I’ve seen the episode. 

A review always gives spoilers. To properly review, a deep dive is expected. The reason for spoiler free titles and pictures is to spare people scrolling through the site, but aren’t ready for said spoilers. This is basic etiquette.
