I agree - I have taken the same wet corner at the same speed on different tires ... one set, no drama while the other fighting to stay on the road.
Flaming brakes is a normal occurance in rally racing

And, in a rally car, the best way to balance the car in a corner ... right foot hard on the gas with the left foot to balance the car
