Wheel of Time is simultaneously one of the best fantasy series I have ever read, and also one of the fucking worst. There are moment that have brought tears to my eyes and moments that make me want to throw the book against the wall. Ultimately its faults crush the good to smithereens - by the tenth book the series is

I mean... *waves at last year in its entirety*

And the first half.

It’s the opposite of The Orville, in which a creative team I hate came together and made a show that does Trek better than Trek is doing Trek and I am still SO MAD ABOUT IT.

I made three attempts on that game, and if you tell me that’s the plot of the game I can only shrug and go ‘if you say so’ because the game sure as shit never tried making that clear.

I made three attempts on that game.

It’s obtuse shit.

This game is the sunk cost fallacy on a god-damn pedestal. The headlines should simply be “overhyped game continues to be average at best, will likely never be revolutionary - here’s how it broke again today.”

It’s not very pithy, but would save a lot of time.

But Hurr Durr Mod therefore This is Fine why people be sadness?! Ninetendo smart!

I mean I’ve been using Steam for... woof, well over a decade now, and ever since it bloomed into an all-encompassing platform for game sales they’ve been able to coast on inertia for not doing much of anything for a really long time. They finally pushed out that UI update about, what, a year back, and even then it

Well Watson is named after Thomas J. Watson, a Nazi sympathizer and facilitator of the holocaust, so it fits.

The word ‘betrayal’ got me excited about something juicy and instead its... nothing. Having a real hard time grasping the significance of the transgression here, since it seems to be nothing but the violation of a community more not clearly rooted in anything other than habitual practice. The equivalent of quitting

Trump proved a major financial and cultural boon to Liberalism by giving them something to mock, campaign against, and feel superior towards without them needing to advocate for reform or meaningful systemic change. The ore-Trump status quo looks so good in comparison that they can all do grave news reports about

“I’d love a Switch Pro because I’d love to see a version of BOTW with a completely different art style and sense of design that meets my definition of objectively superior visuals.”

Can’t wait to see ray tracing in Crono Trigger - finally that game will look the way it deserves to look.

Overlit.

I know, for myself, when i talk about ‘abolish the police’ its about aboloshing and demolishing the virulently bloated, corrupt, and vile institution that is police departments across the Western World.

I think traffic management is important. I think solving murders is important. Knowing what failed states are like

Ah yes, Star Wars, that property that is so notoriously difficult to monetize. Maybe this will finally be the effort that succeeds in earning poor, beleaguered Disney a cent back on their investment,

Case in point: the hell it was to find this comment in order to reply to it.

Whenever I get notifications on Kinja there’s no way to follow-up on it, as far as I can tell. It doesn’t matter what I click - I will be taken to the article, but never my comment nor potential response, leaving me to scroll-hunt for it on my own.

Which, of course, kills conversation completely dead, rending the

I go through my life trying to forget that ancient, shockingly gross show existed... and then I have to remind myself that it finished airing in 2017 and not, y’know, 1995, and then I lose my mind all over again.

I was all ready to agree with you until you started to complain about leftists, at which point you identified yourself as a prat and I stopped reading.
