Umm, a consumer who now has no interest in their product? Maybe their years spent under government control have taught them too much about communism.

The prospective buyer, the ones that give the revenue to continue business?
a consumer who would consider buying their car if it wasn’t a giant tank?
I would figure that with all the launch control science wizardry in the super cars these days that the One:1 wouldn’t get spanked off the line by every Porsche there.
His starts seemed to be consistently disappointing.
yeah except they talked about it publically for 6 years before hand. Kind of like the new NSX where they show the same thing over and over and over to the point that we are bored with it
LOL did you even read the title? Cars nobody was expecting. Everyone and their mom knew the Toyobaru slow twins were coming for years, and lots of high school kids spent nights dreaming about the day they could finally buy one.
Tons of people knew about this car well before it came out, though. I think I knew about it as early as 18 months before it’s debut. It was one of the worse kept car secrets I can think of in recent memory.
With the very narrow exception of a few 70’s land barges, no car looks its best in maroon.
Your first reply didn't really sound amicable. I thought that we were playing the internet bully game. If you noticed, I also replied something more constructive right after. You're free to comment on that one too. But first, take a deep breath, regroup, and realize that the entire world isn't against you. It's the…
I completely understand the hate for the bullying, my high school was pretty rough too. It feels like Jalopnik has changed since I’ve joined, the comments are much harsher and less discussion takes place (of course, it was a bit more homogenous back then, most people agreed on what they liked and disliked). I would…
I knew someone would say that. Close enough.
Another note: I don’t think that stretched tires are the big issue, unless you’re wrapping 155s on 9”. A lowered car with good suspension travel and the camber dialed in a bit is fine too. It’s all about the ‘extreme!’ camber. Factory bushings, bearings, ball joints were not designed to cope with these new constant…
Ya know, you don’t need to go and personally insult everyone trying to give them a taste of their own medicine, we all get that from time to time, no matter what you drive. There are even haters for the beloved Miata around here. Considering that we’re all here because we all love cars, we can be a very divisive and…
I completely agree, I don’t get why this community rallies over a piece of shit wagon from 1972 and glorifies it’s shit flaws then knocks anything that isn’t ‘vintage’ and hard to find on Craigslist. Sometimes the jalopnik commenters come off like the hipsters of the car community.
I hate hella flush and stanced stuff, but the rigid minded attitude of this article makes me want to ruin a car for the sake of making people unnecessarily upset.
How dare this driver have slightly different taste (and I do mean slightly) than the folks on this website.
I can’t look at the comments or I’ll vomit.
