I agree. I thought she was good at first, but felt sure that her act was one of the ones that would get stale since her gimmick (singing) while good would get old fast, and there were better singers on the show. But, in each of her performances, she found ways to keep it fresh. I give her a lot of credit.

They used to be big on old-time radio!

I think that’s been done by much more talented women than she...

This is a mistake. I think they should use her as the straight (wo)man and play her off against the two drunk gals, who start out tipsy and then get white girl drunk by the end of the show. It’ll be like watching a bachelorette party interact with its designated driver, and everyone knows bachelorette parties are just

Speaking of terrible men and Matt Lauer, I’m reading What Happened and reading Hillary’s account of Lauer’s terrible job in moderating the “Commander in Chief” forum makes my blood boil all over again.

I agree that this is a stretch of a legal argument for them but also isn’t it Tay Tay who has copyrighted every common phrase including “this sick beat”? I realize 3LW probably did not do the same but I like that Taylor’s legal team has to see what its like to deal with this bullshit they created.

I agree with you, but I do find it really funny that it’s T-Swift aka the girl that fucking tries to trademark EVERYTHING that is getting sued.

Im suing them both for sucking.

I don’t know that they have a winning suit but their argument isn’t that they own the phrases (that was the other suit) but the lyical similarity shows she was inspired by their song. They both use similar phrases line to line in a similar way.

Off Topic: Is Kevin Hart super dusty in that pic or do I need to get my work monitors cleaned?

The thought of someone trading in a rare misprint for a copy of an in-print, mass-produced record really makes the former record store employee in me FURIOUS

So....a minor spelling issue?

I would have appreciated an independent assessment of Goldberg’s inaccuracies, but this article only presents Grigoriadis’s point of view, and it offers no quotes from the book to defend it. It merely states that Grigoriadis addressed what Goldberg accused her of not addressing, but it would have been great to see

You don’t have a contortionist? What are you, poor?

Not really.

Aaaand Torrei Hart has the last goddamn laugh.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO fuck fuck fuck! RIP :(

Yeah, I found that LW weird.

For what it’s worth, this is actually one of the few times the advice doesn’t make me want to bang my head up against the wall after reading it.
