I think the lack of women at these is indicative of a larger problem, which is in itself indicative of an even larger problem.

I think when it was envisioned, Star Wars was definitely in a better spot IP wise and the economy was in much better place.
Sounded like he waited a while just to get the car, can’t imagine the owner will get that kind of deal.
Unfortunately, accidents and damages are a reality of the valet parking industry.
Yeah, that didn’t exactly look like a joyride, he was probably just looking for a place to park it. He goosed it a tiny bit and barely got over 40 mph. What he did do was flip a U from the outside lane without looking behind him, which wasn’t a brilliant move.
the company literally says in the statement would be “resolved in an expeditious, fair and efficient manner.” ——
Yeah, to be honest. That.
This is one of those storylines I just look at and go... jeez, that doesn’t seem very enjoyable for anyone.
I think Xavier having his beliefs properly challenged is good, but I think there’s a million more interesting ways to do that than ‘hoho what if he killed everyone’
Marvel’s obsession with committing genocide over and over again is more than a bit unsettling at this point. With how often its come up its seeming like the message that Marvel is trying to send is less ‘genocide bad’ more ‘minorities aren’t allowed nice things and if you start to get happy we’ll kill you all off’.
While true. The main brunt of things like lockdowns, social distancing, and limitations are gone. Covid isn’t going away permanently. Difference is now we have vaccines and medication that can help against it.
Everyone seems to be saying “after Covid” a lot in this article. It’s not over, friends are still getting zapped by it, ending in the Hospital. This has super-spreader all over it.
Any fire department that didn’t shut that down is not doing its job.
Wow, I have the exact same criticisms of Star Wars that you do - and yet I COMPLETELY disagree .
Yes, Star Wars absolutely forces too many DIRECT connections between the main characters of the stories - which does indeed make the universe feel too small. I have to wonder if that flaw is coloring your view of this idea…
Is it? It has some hilarious moments (the singing telegram, “flames across my face”, Tim Curry doing Tim Curry things), but overall the movie feels like a bit of a slog to me.
Yea but none of those migrants were billionaires, so who cares?
And in news getting significantly less coverage:
Not to wish ill on those on board, but I think I would prefer a catastrophic failure to put a quick end to me rather than sitting in the dark for 4-5 days waiting to suffocate.
The novelty of the situation itself is enabled by their wealth. You can’t separate the antics of the wealthy that demand attention from the wealth they used to create the spectacle.
Their wealth and maybe the novelty of this situation are they only reasons you know about these people and their predicament.
Garriott’s actually kind of okay here - in this case, his organization has submarines that have already explored the titanic a few times. This is one of the few times when this rich tech leader can actually contribute, because they’ve already done similar things and actually do have resources.
It’s not a case of Elon…
But he was a billionaire so he was toots smarts!
