I don't know. Daredevil lost a lot of momentum as well when Kingpin became the only villain in the second half of the season. I think Luke Cage (even with the Diamondback debacle) and JJ (even with its similarly diminished back half) are the strongest so far.

I feel like most of the Netflix shows could take a page out of Arrow or AOS's book and add a couple of one-offs or even one or two multi-episode arcs. However, that would mean giving up the "Netflix shows are long movies" credo they seem to be running with.

Eh, I'd argue Pickle Rick deserved an A and the premiere was probably a B or B+. The others have been decent, but not particularly stellar.

I'm with you entirely. I felt mostly the same way about Auto Erotic Assimilation though. I found it significantly less funny than the rest of the season, and I thought the suicide attempt was almost too much for the show to take on. But this certainly wasn't an A grade.

I didn't hate it, but I definitely found it less funny than most eps, especially after Pickle Rick which is a top 3 episode for me. It certainly had some good lines, but the whole Drunk RickSaw thing got so deconstruction-y and slow near the end.

Can't upvote that enough. The Apatow/Feig/McKay/Lord & Miller style of pointing a camera at comedians and letting them riff is getting really, really old. Granted, I really like some movies from those directors (Spy, The Other Guys, especially 22 Jump Street), but there's been a lot of misses and a lot of directors

I'm hoping they look at the Sinner. Also Difficult People, which I believe was released recently.

Oh…oh we're fucked.

2012 was the Expendables 2 and I'll go to bat for that dumb-ass movie any day. The first and third are terrible, but they got 2 just right for me. However, my bet is Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning. Its gotten a lot of praise on this site and others, even if it wasn't hugely influential.

I especially want to see "that one where Dredd kills half a billion Russians" because, if done correctly, that storyline would take damn near a full season. If one includes Block Mania, the prologue to Apocalypse War (story in which Dredd kills half a billion Russians), then the entire thing took from October to July

AOS often does suck. However, the most recent, Season 4, is legitimately great genre TV. Fun sci-fi plots and ideas, good writing and characterization, and good action. Unprecedented quality for the series.

It's downright surreal. Lynchian one could say.

It did! I use Swype so I guess I didn't do it well enough.

True. That is something I like about marijuana Maryland. If you start driving from DC you can hit city-adjacent suburb, extended suburb, rural and then city again in like an hour, without traffic.

I've gone to school in Balt. County for the last few years. Since then I've heard and seen so much shit about Cecil, Carroll counties that I could not have imagined. Apparently a bar in Cecil had a noose that hung on a tree outside of it well into the 2000's that the owner bragged about. As a PG County boy, I cannot

It's such a great movie. I'm offended on behalf of Martin Campbell that the author forgot about it when listing Campbell's last movies.

I think License to Kill is still criminally underrated. It's fantastic as revenge action schlock done well. And Robert Davi is always a treasure.

I'm really happy this got picked. It's my favorite Bond movie, and one of my favorite movies ever, flaws and all. It has a good song, surprisingly good action, a fantastic opener, and both an all-time classic villain and Bond Girl. Add in that it's a very confident debut of a new Bond, and you got yourself a hell of

Interesting. I read a book by the son of Dr. Hodel, a detective, who alleged that his father was the killer (As well as the perpetrator of several other murders, of varying plausibility). Well, I'm always up for some good ol'-fashioned serial killer chasin'!

That's pretty dead-on. Only thing add I'd is that you also need to frontload the movie with roughly 2 hours of some of the worst, most unacceptably clunky exposition of the last 20 years. Can't forget that!
