I agree. I also feel like they reused plots a lot this season. Immunity, torture, and hostages kept cycling. I seem to remember an interview with the showrunners where they said something to that effect. The mini-plots meant they repeated way more.

Now, I really want one joke in a Marvel property to be that dark. Any movie, any show, just one punchline that's legitimately horrific. Apologies for your sadness; but, if given the opportunity, I will always escalate the joke.

Thug: "Go to hell!"
*sprays bullets from his Uzi*
*Daredevil bounces off the wall to land a roundhouse kick to the thug's head*
DD: (gritty voiceover) "I'm already there. He doesn't understand hell. No one could."

I remember disliking four. And finding Habib boring. That said, I was younger when my mom and I started watching it (Season 7 was airing at the time) and we needed a break. I might have just burned out. I should re-watch 4 sometime.

I love Turk, but I would laugh a lot if he died in that dumpster. It could be the darkest running bit in Marvel history.

So…can we switch out Malcolm for Bobby Fish? I mean I like Eka Darville as much as the next guy (I'm always down with a Power Ranger), but I have forgotten multiple times that Malcolm was even a character in Jessica Jones. Bobby Fish is unforgettable.

I saw White House Down in the theater a few years back (on my birthday, no less) and at one point Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum are hiding in an elevator shaft. A goon is looking around for them and sees Jamie Foxx's shoe through the tiny window into the shaft. As he does so, a loud female voice from behind me

I vaguely remember that comment. It would get annoying, but at least a villain quoting Pewdiepie would be more novel than something that goes back to The Night of the Hunter .

So can we, as a society, be done with exclusively Bible-Quoting villains? Because holy shit, did that get annoying. I'm fine with the occasional reference but every thirty seconds… It's more of a problem for Diamondback because he is not in any way religious, so it just seems unnecessary. How much cooler (or at

At the same time, her being able to kick even more ass is certainly not a bad thing.

Agree on all counts. I'm very ready for a Mariah/Shades dynasty.

Everybody seems to really like Colter on JJ and I really didn't. His character seemed really boring and kind of empty, even as a foil to Jessica. It was to the point where I wasn't particularly interested in LC as it was being promoted. I ended up really liking LC (legitimate faults aside) partially because I think

I don't think it's colorist, but it's definitely objectifying and more than a little uncomfortable. Luke has tended to go for relatively light-skinned women though. And was specifically uninterested in Candace, a darker woman. Still, there would need to more concrete evidence to call it colorist, so I'll just stick

I thought the exact same thing. I just assumed she was talking about Foggy, because she seemed to appreciate his lawyer skills in DD S2. And because S2 Matt is kind of a shit. As a lawyer, but also generally.

While I do not agree much with the overall feelings of the reviewer (criticisms are valid, but I like the show more overall) that Cuban Coffee line was inexcusable. Everyone watching with me audibly winced to various degrees.

Actually, that's the exact gist of MANY of them. (I watched way too much)

I agree, in fact I'd say Luke Cage gets out the best of all of them so far (DD S1 maybe excepted, but I don't think that show's close to Luke Cage or JJ level). I like this episode quite a bit more than the reviewer, mainly because the focus on Shades, Mariah, Misty, and Harlem as a whole works well here. In these

That last "that's bad" is a little too far for me. Just Dads I could take. Just Cleveland Show I could take. But both

It's sad that Martin Campbell isn't getting work (Apparently he's working on a Jackie Chan/Pierce Brosnan movie so maybe that will be good). He seemed to really care about Green Lantern, even if it turned out poorly. Mask of Zorro and Goldeneye are both a lot of fun, and Casino Royale is my favorite Bond movie. To

Ah. That's fair. I don't remember particularly disliking the first half/two-thirds of S2 but nor do I remember liking it. And a lot of the things I liked at first (Electra, Punisher) don't really pan out well in the end, so I'm less likely to remember the good things. (With Punisher, I mean the Clancy Brown stuff.
