Well, duh.

@bloknayrb: It doesn't act in exactly the same way though. A publisher might donate one copy to a physical library. The kindle book club may have 20,000 people sign up with a copy.

Dropbox should partner with Ford.

@bloknayrb: I'm not sure I agree that physical libraries and online libraries share precisely similar characteristics.

And now I'm crosseyed.

@sgnewman: I don't see how you can blame them when it took this short a time for a website to pop up like the one in this article. They are in the business to *sell* books, not to provide the backbone for an online library.

@huh989: I disagree. It shows how Samsung got greedy and their customers are paying for it.

That's so terribly sad. :(

@Mr_Quackers: The iPhone would lose a LOT of its appeal if it lost that sense of elitism. I think you're underestimating how quickly the hipster crowd would drop it like a rock if a new iOS device popped out for 49 bucks on contract every couple weeks.

Wow. Samsung and Motorola seem to have a business model that includes creating a product and then just moving on. Planned obsolescence I guess.

@Wade McGillis: I was thinking the same thing. There have been user-moderated communities since the dawn of the BBS online. Once I thought about it though, the "jury" thing is sort of novel. It sounds like anyone can be a "moderator" as long as they play the game enough.

Man, it took me a long time to figure out what this story was about. I thought they were refusing to give him the glasses because he lacked good hygiene. I was thinking yuck, how dirty he must look.

Stumbleupon.

@siwex80: You mean by long-pressing the home key (Android)?

This is an awesome opportunity for home schoolers.

I wish they weren't so enamored of that horrible Mylo design. Man that thing is ugly.

@bob1105: I mostly jest. I think gamers will be the last holdout as we see "real" PC's give way to mobile solutions, but I say that with a big caveat - that mobile streaming and the likes of OnLive will eventually make big GPU's obsolete. Unless the earth explodes. Which it totally could.

This is like asking "why do you like blondes but omg you don't like brunettes??"
