This has to be the first H Pattern dash mounted shift lever I’ve ever seen. I think you should pick it up just so we can see more pictures of it. It would complement the Pao nicely.

This thing looks like they hired the crew from Lincoln to design it. It’s no better than the “Grand Cherokee” that has somehow morphed into a minivan. I wish to God they would give the jeep line to the Dodge engineer’s then there would be a chance for a decent retro CJ7, and maybe some return to the roots of what made…
We will only truly know you are reformed if you post the contact info so that someone else can jump on it. Though my wife may never forgive you.
When did Jalopnik become a vehicle hating site? Harley’s, Trucks, .... how long til you oust David Tracy for being of the ‘wrong’ persuasion?
The pandemic is just the nudge we needed to transition to full on helmets with integrated face masks, a la Star Wars. It won’t be long now until we can justify daily cape use.
I’m almost certain that 4yr 48k warranty applies only to emissions parts.
I worked for Frontier Airlines at the Denver Airport, and lived in Colorado Springs. It was 94 miles each way, which on a good day was 1 hour and 45 minutes. The worst time I clocked was 4.5 hours on a particularly snowy day. I left home at 530 and arrived at work at 10-ish. It was ridiculous, I then left at 1 because…
Where do you find a 0% apr on fixed TDI’s? I haven’t seen that anywhere. In fact the best I have found is 3.99% on “select preowned”
I had an old mercedes that would do that. I put a piece of cardboard between the radiator and the grill, problem solved.
Before it was about 1 time every 10000 miles. I’m not sure now, but I can’t imagine it’s more than twice as much.
My DPF light came on about 2000 miles after I purchased it from the dealer, but it is covered under the 48000mile/4yr warranty. Didn’t cost me a penny. 38mpg every day all day, and a lot more power than a “40mpg” gas equivalent. I wish they were still making them.
What you’re saying makes a lot of sense, it’s the first time I’ve heard it put this way though. Generally it’s more of a backlash against anyone who wants/needs to drive a truck as completely unreasonable.
“it’s just not really properly scaled for most of life.” Have you ever noticed that the war on trucks is mostly waged by city dwellers; People who never have to tow anything, or for whom commuting is the only purpose of personal conveyance? Torch I love your articles about tiny exotic cars, but there are situations…
Nice job, and great pictures, I’m glad you made it there safely and back. You did ignore one cardinal rule though. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” But hey at the end of the day it all worked out. Congratulations!
while I’m not disagreeing with you I still think it just makes sense to prohibit ships from intentionally dumping garbage at sea.
While banning single use plastics seems like an obvious choice wouldn't it make more sense to stop dumping garbage in the ocean? Single use plastics seems like a nice follow up goal compared to that.
So now that there is 2.5 years of data available, since you wrote this article, it seems like you could have calculated their accuracy rate at 10, 30, 45, 60, and 90 days. I’d be interested to read that article.
I think that is probably to strong, but I know what you mean, I only tend to have a few beers over the course of the weekend, but that doesn’t mean I never have one during the week. My philosophy is; if I start craving a drink, then maybe I should back off. So far its kept me out of trouble.
I’m not disputing it, because, hey what do I know, but I’ve never read, or heard ever that alcohol causes cancer, and especially that it causes it wherever it touches the body. Mouth, esophagus, stomach, etc cancer for alcoholics or even regular consumers. If this is true why isn’t it a larger part of our collective…
Firefly, thank you for your post, I have to say I’ve misunderstood this for essentially my entire adult life. I think it’s a common misconception. After reading your comment and looking at the graph, it suddenly all makes sense!
