Max Payne bugged me because the game already had a great story, it didn’t need to be changed. But the screenwriters or whoever basically threw it in a food processor and filmed what came out. But yeah, better casting and an R rating would’ve helped too.

Wow, you sound like you have no idea what you are talking about! They’re awesome, I really dunno what the reviewer’s problem is. They never felt like breaking up the flow of combat to me, and they become part of the strategy of the game. Pretty seamless, really.
