Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Dark Souls, War of Roses, and the Mount and Blade series all have quite good combat systems that utilize physics to varying extents.
Tomb Raider (2012?) I liked that game and it played well and had a great origin story for Lara, and I really wanted to complete it, but the game was long and tedious for me, and I really didn't have any fun with it. Now it just sits there on my shelf and looks sadly at me begging me to finish it.
I hate to say this, but not many book cover directly show the main character just standing there. Mostly (but not always) it is some symbol or symbolic image meant to convey the theme or a sliver of the story in the book. Most of these just show the main character standing there, which doesn't convey a very good point…
