Speaking of learning the ropes, any particular other arms that people are hoping to see in the game's DLC? A pirate character with ropes would be great, and I'd love to see tentacles or vines.

I've found ways to weaponize the garbage as well; it kind of just requires thinking about it as matches to make where you don't need to match 4, and you have full color choice. I still insist on the "first priority" of killing garbage before concentrating on matches, a technique that I learned from my roommates with

Same, on the keeping away from Mario Kart. I managed to avoid buying it thanks to Puyo Puyo Tetris and ARMS close release date.

I'll have to check out the ARMS review; my busy week sadly kept me out of the discussion. However, the points there did remind me of a couple posts that I wrote that look at how the game is designed around accessibility. I wrote them both before even getting my grip on the Testpunch, so there's less hands-on

Pirate's Curse is a pretty fantastic game, it just feels very well guided. New abilities are all helpful in combat and make movement just feel that much better. I need to get back to Half-Genie Hero; I got it on Wii U for Kickstarting, so my instinctive Switch-only gaming means its been left behind.

Currently midway through an intense session of monitor my newborn son's sleep. Little guy just popped out on Tuesday, and he seems to have made tonight the most difficult level yet. He's only willing to sleep when swaddled, but even then he's wriggling about enough that I'm worried about the blanket getting loose in

Dang, that is such a cool campaign! And I thought the floating island/airship world that I'm running was neat.

That's good to hear, it might be the game that I ultimately bite on. I kind of forgot about it, actually, and was more debating Thumper and…nah, Thumper was pretty much the leader.

I kind of liked wrecking Ganon. Yeah, I didn't die, but that was because I'd cleared the Divine Beasts. I think I compared it last week to the end fight in Majora's Mask and how, if you've gathered up everything in the game, you can demolish the final boss. That being said, Ganon might actually be easy even if you

Yeah, the Wii U's d-pad was perfection. I'm not even entirely sure how it worked so well, but it just did. Though I also really liked the Wiimote's.

Prime 3 is a weird beast. I felt like it was the easiest of the games, its corruption/Phazon mechanic wasn't terribly interesting, and it felt like it gave you less items than before. But, at the same time, it just felt good. It was actually designed for the Wii, so the motion controls feel right at home. Its

I'm the same way. Arcing my punches by twisting seems like the more advanced technique so I instinctively do it all the time, despite the fact that straight punches can be just as important. It's like using light attacks in any other fighting game. It might seem best to always use strong attacks (they do more

Seeing as to how the Switch is really the only way I can play games now (well, besides the Wii U, but…yeah), I'd just like some surprise for it. We know they're gonna show Super Mario Odyssey, which is cool, but I also kind of want to know nothing about that. Go into the actual game the same way that I took on Breath

To which Raiden responds "how the hell did you get elected?"

Mine is SW-7883-8910-4303, though I'm also just adding the people who post their codes on here. But, if anyone sees this thread and I didn't add you.

Yeah, it definitely felt like more people got the hang of it as it went on. On the other hand, I felt like I started to get the hang of it as well. I ended up having some incredible matches that would have surely been losses when I first started playing.

I'm betting your 2/3 filled board was part garbage? It's the big risk with sending garbage to your opponent; the wrong thing sent over can easily set up for Tetrises. I find it harder to turn garbage into gold in Puyo Puyo, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

Recommendations for throws: straight punches and air dodges. Straight punches will break right through a throw, and air dodges are a pretty simple way to just avoid the grab, which usually means they've set themselves wide open for a counterattack. Grabs have a really long recovery time. It still relies a bit on

It'll be the ARMS Testpunch for me, and some Puyo Puyo Tetris when I'm not cleaning and the Testpunch ain't active. I've been on the hype train for ARMS for a bit now, and the demo last weekend only confirmed that my hype is justified. Ribbon Girl is currently looking to be my main, though I want a couple different

I've been learning it pretty well. Went from spastic playing, to getting frustrated at getting beaten, to figuring out how to outplay the annoying strategies that were stopping me. I'm definitely getting the full game.
